In 2013, Tareq Al Shumaimry was elected as the Chairman of the Financial Committee of the Permanent Court of Arbitration. In 2014 The Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs deputed Tareq Al Shumaimry to the Embassy of Kuwait, The Netherlands as a Minister/Counsellor.
In recognition of his achievement and services to the State of Kuwait, His Highness The Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah congratulated Tareq Al Shumaimry and granted a personal audience to him.
